Q: What was your first job, and was there a lesson you learned there that you still use today?
A: My first job was at a department store, where I learned that giving good customer service is the key to building meaningful relationships. The relationships that you build with your customers are everlasting.
Q: What was the most useful piece of advice you received from a mentor (or in the early/formative years of your career)?
A: Always put your customers first and treat them the way you would want to be treated.
Q: Tell us about one experience you’ve had that exemplifies being a banker.
A: I think what exemplifies being a banker are the relationships that you build through the years with your customers. Going above and beyond to help in whatever situation that may arise.
Q: First tap/click of the day?
A: The first thing I check every morning is my calendar. This helps me determine what I have going on and what I need to accomplish before the end of the day.
Q: TV show or series you love?
A: “When Calls the Heart,” which airs on the Hallmark channel, is definitely my favorite.
Q: What’s your most treasured possession?
A: My most treasured possession is a ring that my father gave to my sister, and she passed it on to me. My father passed away at an early age, so this always brings back memories of our days together.
Q: What’s your greatest domestic hidden talent?
A: I would have to say baking. I always enjoyed baking, but over the last several years I have begun to venture out and try different things. I have enjoyed being able to bake the cakes for my twin grandboys' birthdays, each theme is different so I get the opportunity to get creative and hope it turns out as expected.
