Q: What was your first job, and was there a lesson you learned there that you still use today?
A: My first job was as a pharmacy tech at Revco, where I learned to always greet the customer with a smile!
Q: What was the most useful piece of advice you received from a mentor (or in the early/formative years of your career)?
A: “People can bank anywhere, but excellent customer service is why they choose to bank with us.” – Amy Orr, president at The Four County Bank
Q: Tell us about one experience you’ve had that exemplifies being a banker, such as a service story that really helped a customer or a quirky story.
A: The best part of banking is building relationships with your customers. You get to watch their family grow as well as their goats! Every spring I look forward to my customer bringing in a new “kid” to hold.
Q: First tap/click of the day?
A: Tap phone to turn alarm off and click on the coffee pot. I typically check my work email, but only after that first cup of coffee has kicked in.
Q: What’s your most treasured possession?
A: Our boys did not carry traditional baby blankets; they carried pillow cases. Sam and Wil would use them as sleeping bags, ghost costumes and security blankets. I absolutely love those ratty pieces of fabric and the memories they hold!
Q: What’s your greatest domestic hidden talent?
A: I don’t know if I would call it a talent, but I’m really good at yard work. For my 40th birthday, I asked for a Stihl Backpack Blower – best gift ever!
