Q: As GBA members meet you or talk to you for the first time, what can they expect from you?
Our members can expect me to be fully committed to helping them develop the skills they need to excel in their careers. With a friendly and helpful demeanor, I will strive to provide the highest-quality professional development opportunities for anyone working at a bank, and I hope GBA members will take full advantage of these programs in order to make Georgia banks the best they can be.
Q: Who is someone that has influenced your chosen career path?
My parents have worked in a variety of marketing/communications roles and ended up having a huge influence on my career path, specifically my decision to major in journalism at the University of Florida. They taught me to be curious about the world and to appreciate the power of the written word.
Q: What might someone be surprised to learn about you?
I have a background in theater and graduated from New World School of the Arts high school in Miami, FL. I have performed in shows ranging from classic plays to original works and musicals. Most recently, I played Helena, a dream role of mine, in Shakespeare in the Park-UF’s production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
Q: When you’re not on the job at GBA, what do you like to do?
In my free time, I like to get introspection by surrounding myself with nature or a good movie, book, etc. I also enjoy soaking up the culture of an area by visiting museums, galleries and restaurants. Being new to Atlanta and Georgia, I look forward to checking out everything the city and our state have to offer.
Q: What is your favorite travel destination and why?
I absolutely love Europe! I’ve been to Italy, Germany and Switzerland and am always blown away by the rich history, beautiful landscapes and decadent food.
