Andrew Ainslie
Vice President/Commercial Lender
Bank of Madison
Vice President, Leadership GBA
Q: Who gets the most credit for driving you to succeed and grow as an individual? From the beginning until now; who has made the biggest impact?
The experiences of my life have shaped me as person and as a leader. They inspire me to compete for success. I was fortunate to learn from my parents at a young age the value of a strong work ethic. Participating in North Georgia College’s Corps of Cadets and playing college baseball also have taught me valuable leadership skills that I use on a daily basis. The bank’s management team has also given me opportunities over the past 16 years to grow and thrive in the banking industry. And, my wife and family push me every day to be the best I can be as a father and husband.
Q: What’s your favorite part of any day on the job at the bank?
Banking has allowed me to develop meaningful, long-term relationships with customers in my community while helping their business and families succeed financially.
Q: How have benefited from your participation in programs like Leadership GBA?
Participation with GBA gives me chances to network across the state with other banking industry leaders and feed my banking knowledge throughout the year.
Q: Leadership GBA will be hosting the inaugural Georgia BankPAC Shooting Tournament next month. Why is important for GBA members and other affiliates to participate?
Events like the upcoming Shooting Tournament let us support the critically important GBA StatePAC. This is a big election year for many state officials, so don’t miss the chance to support GBA’s legislative efforts in person.
Q: When you’re not on the job at the bank or fulfilling your Bank of Madison, GBA or other civic duties, what do you like to do?
With young children Drew (10) and Malcom (8), I spend my free time coaching their various sports teams. Over the past 16 years, I have had the pleasure to coach over 45 youth sports teams.
Q: What is one thing your Bank of Madison co-workers and GBA friends and peers might not know about you?
For 38 years, I have been actively involved with my family’s poultry and beef farming operation in Morgan County.
